Of the 50 or so Muslim majority countries in the world, 12 of those countries have either partially or fully adopted Sharia – the legal system of the Qur’an into the foundation and practice of their civil and criminal justice systems.
Three of these countries are Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, where not coincidentally, the Niqab and the Burqa are widely worn.
