What began as an exploration of how thoughts and feelings affect the molecular structure of water has led me from Dr. Masaru Emoto’s studies to an exploration of the impact of words. That’s how I found out about Andrew Newberg, M.D. and Mark Robert Waldman’s book, Words Can Change Your Brain.
It just so happens that there’s an introductory video describing how words can transform your life.
Take a look.
They begin by talking about how using the right words can create trust and connection, while using hateful, negative words can push people away. It seems fairly obvious, and doesn’t actually have much to do with one’s brain.
But then comes the interesting part. They say, “…if you continue to communicate with negativity, you’ll actually damage your brain.”
Based on the remainder of the video, I’m inclined to think the book is actually about effective communication, and less about the brain, but I haven’t actually read it, so I will withhold any further speculation.
What do you think?
